February 22, 2024 - Conversation with Jack Mautino - We engaged in a productive discussion with Jack Mautino, the Columbus Division President for D.R. Horton. Mr. Mautino demonstrated a receptive attitude towards our cause and offered valuable insights into the contractual agreement between D.R. Horton and Dollar General. Notably, he shed light on the timeline within which D.R. Horton could terminate the contract without facing repercussions. Additionally, we learned that Dollar General is facing a looming deposit deadline in March to proceed with the development. This detail underscores the significance of the impending financial commitment and its potential impact on the project's progress.

* Dollar General is in a pending contractual status to purchase the commercially zoned 3.63 acres at the second entrance of Ellington Village. Pending status means a property’s offer has been accepted by DR Horton and the contingencies have been met, but the sale hasn't been finalized yet.
